About Carrie
I am originally from Kirkwood, Missouri, which is a suburb of St. Louis. I started violin in 4th grade, and since then, I have played in the Missouri All-State Orchestra, St. Louis Youth Symphony, Missouri All-Collegiate Orchestra, Truman State University Orchestra, Kansas City Civic Orchestra, and Broomfield Symphony.
I graduated as valedictorian from Truman State University with a bachelors degree in music, and the following year, I graduated with a master of education in music, also from Truman State.
After teaching middle school and elementary orchestra in the Shawnee Mission School District in Kansas for four years, our family relocated to the Denver area where I continued teaching private lessons.
Nothing is more exciting than watching a student make leaps and bounds with their instrument. Their joy of discovery is what I enjoy most.

I always begin with a free evaluation lesson to determine student level and discuss studio policies and expectations. Lessons are always tailored to individual students, and it is important to establish a good relationship with the student in those first few lessons.
