About Emma

Hi - My name is Emma Wexler and I am a passionate tutor. I graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Information Systems in 2019. Upon graduation I joined IBM as a Cyber Security Specialist - where I still work full time. However, during my 4 years at TCU I developed a passion for tutoring that I found myself missing in my post-graduate life! I had found a niche in helping students with time management and organization skills. By helping my students best understand how to prioritize tasks to manage a healthy balance between studies, activities, and everything else a young person may have on their agenda, I have found that my students are able to be much more successful in and out of the classroom. These are the skills that I hope to pass onto my students to ensure a sucessful, healthy future!

I was a tutor on TCU's campus for 3 years. I tutored elementary school students through adults - there really isn't an age demographic that these skills wouldn't benefit!

About the lesson

My typical process of working with a new student involves gaining a better understanding of what the student has on his/her plate. This usually involves a conversation around commitments, goals, and what an ideal balance between commitments would look like. Once I have the big picture in mind, I work backwards with the student to create a plan that will allow them to achieve their goals while getting to enjoy the journey.
