About Mackenzie
I am lifeguard, CPR, first aid and lifeguard instructor certified. I have swam on a competitive swim team for 14 years before going to college. I have taught swim lessons for 6 years and began teaching private lessons in the summer a couple years ago. I have always been in and around the water my whole life and I feel as though swimming is a very important skill to have especially when we live so close to the ocean! Please feel free to ask any questions I would be happy to help out!
I have swam on a competitive swim team for 14 years and I have been teaching for 6 years. I have certifications in lifeguarding, CPR, first aid and lifeguard instructing.

I start by sitting with the parents and the child and go over what the parents would like to see improvment wise with the child. I then ask the child their fears/goals with swimming. Hopefully there are no fears just excitement but in the case that the child is fearful, I can work very well with them in getting over their fears.
I have worked with students of all abilities and ages. The youngest I have taught was a 6 month old baby and the oldest was my 60 year old neighbor. I have also worked with many children with different learning disabilities.
