About Felicia

Safety comes first with all ages, so I start with teaching safety techniques first! Once they understand that, we start with basic swimming movements, over time practicing with them and correcting, we move through other swimming movements. Some take more time than others, but I enjoy repetition! I usually start lessons at 3 months, the sooner the better!! Consistency is key in overcoming fear!

I had a real passion for teaching kids, and even teens. And one day I got the opportunity to teach them swim lessons through a great company.

Ive been swimming since I was a little one! Growing up I've been lifeguard certified, CPR/AED certified, and have continued swimming! And have also had experience teaching swim through a growing company.

About the lesson

I like to meet with my student first, learn what their comfortable with in the water. Then we go from there!

3 months up until 16 years old.

I would say look out for teachers that don't think safety is the number 1 priority. Because water safety is a huge topic in the world right now! And teaching swim lessons is a serious job.

Im not sure I could choose just one! Teaching children can be so amazingly rewarding. Seeing them progress and move up to new skills is really rewarding!
