About James
I hold a Master of Education degree from the University of Notre Dame, earned while teaching 8th through 12th grade students Physics and Physical Science. I also have four years of engineering industry experience where math and science applications are the heart of the day-to-day job description. My enthusiasm for STEM motivates how I approach education. I hope to encourage curiosity and improve confidence when facing challenging material. My goal is for students not merely to memorize data, but to understand how to apply knowledge to new challenges, while also developing critical thinking and problem solving skills that carry over into other areas of their lives. I will get to know each student individually so that my instruction can support a student's particular strengths as well as target their needs. I welcome feedback from parents to ensure that a student is achieving to their fullest potential!
