About Ron
I majored in Computer Science specializing in database design. I also use SQL and PL/SQL extensively in my day to day at my job in IT with over 30 years experience solving practical business problems. I also have 3+ years tutoring over 300 students. All claim they learned more from our sessions than in their own class. If you send your assignment, I'll be happy to review to see if I would be a good fit prior to booking.
I recalled struggling in the first six months of my first project in my career. A colleague offered to take time on his day off on a weekend to tutor me, and that completely changed my life. Since then, I excelled in SQL and database design. I would like to take this opportunity to help others as this kind colleague did for me :)
I have over 30+ years in IT using SQL and PL/SQL in my day-to-day. I also do database design on all projects I've worked on. I've also tutored over 300 students in past 3+ years.

I first ask to review their assignment to see if I'm a good fit. If so, I will book a session and ask them to clarify any questions I have regarding the assignment. I will then ask them their preference on learning style - If they prefer hands on vs. they learn by example. If hands on, then I let them "drive" and I will provide input; otherwise, I do the "driving" pausing along the way to see if they have questions.
