About Tanis

Teaching is my passion. Bridging understanding, helping others, and sharing my passion for Academia, I love it all.

Being down to earth and connected to my students is the most important. I know all too well how daunting university life can be and how disconnected from tutors and class your experience might be. University staff are given too many students to handle, and you suffer as a result. My objective at all times as a teacher was to not let students fall through the cracks. This is why I have turned to freelance. To offer person-to-person, more connected and specialised teaching.

My objective and reason for teaching is to help students navigate this space. To inspire more connection and appreciation for the course whilst also being there to help.

About the lesson

With two years of experience teaching at top-ranking Universities, I have developed an engaging and approachable teaching style that my students love and appreciate.

With excellent student and staff recommendations, I come highly recommended and bring a level of passion and knowledge to my work that has positively shaped the education of hundreds of my students.

Politics is passion and the first object of any of my lessons is installing and fanning this flame in my students. Through engaging and out-of-the-box activities my lessons help captivate student passion and give them autonomy in learning.

An average lesson will run 50 minutes but this can be changed depending on the student's needs. Content is dependent on the student's needs, whether that be feedback, exam preparation or further teaching on course content.

I have two years teaching Political Science, International Relations and Media Studies in a wide variety of classes. From theories of nationalism, politics in the media, to Australian politics I can give excellent tutoring for any subject within my field of expertise.
