About Raphael
I teach beginner Latin, Spanish and Italian, as well as phonology and articulatory phonetics for language learning. My language lessons involve a communicative approach based on comprehensible input, which is the foundation of aquisition. I will get you to the point at which you are understanding a significant amount of material, at which point you can truly immerse on your path to fluency.
I’m a polyglot, language enthusiast, occasional content creator, and TEFL certified language teacher with several years of experience. I graduated with a double major in Linguistics and Japanese from the University of Edinburgh. My interests include historical linguistics, historical phonology, ancient languages, methods for self driven language learning, and acquisition of pronunciation as a second language learner. You may have seen my collaborations with Luke Ranieri (Polymathy/Scorpio Martianus), Ecolinguist, or Podcast Italiano.
