Find opportunities to have fun using the language in real life. Find Spanish or Mandarin speakers on meetup.com, in stores, at restaurants, during library events, at university events, with friends, and with family.
I have recently attended events on international development in Africa, specifically in Cameroon, and on media transparency. I am also a member of an archaeology club and an avid hiker.
