About Justine
In the past, I have volunteered at Cerritos Elementary School as a Math Olympiads tutor. I also have worked in the Cerritos Library as a Volunteen for multiple years and specifically worked in the Children's Reading Program and the Summer Reading Program. All throughout high school, I consistently taught technology to senior citizens at the Cerritos Senior Center and have coached basketball weekly to young elementary school kids through the Norwalk Youth Sports Organization.

I first want to get to know the student and understand what they would like to learn, how they learn best, and what I could do to help them. I want to sit down and talk to both the students and parents, if possible, to ensure that we are all on the same page. I wish to completely shape this tutoring experience around the student so they are able to learn in a comfortable environment and enjoy learning as well.
I typically work with younger students that are generally in elementary school.
In April 2019, I was invited to travel to the United Nations in New York to speak about the global water crisis. I represented the largest youth water organization called Thirst Project and spoke about raising awareness about the water crisis and how Thirst Project have used donations to build long-lasting water wells in communities that lack access to clean water. It was a wonderful event where I had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and hear the Secretary General speak.
