About Michelle

Are you preparing for an exam? Maybe a trip abroad? Are you trying to catch up in class? Doing independent study to skip a level? Maybe you just need some additional practice? I'm happy to help you!

We will work together to establish YOUR goals and then employ the strategies that work best for YOU. I am comfortable and experienced in employing a variety of educational theories and learning strategies, including CI (Comprehensible Input), Direct Instruction, and of course, games and technology! We will focus on what works for you to get you speaking, reading, listening and writing more confidently in Spanish!

I started learning Spanish at age 15 and just kept going! I've lived in Mexico, Spain, and Cuba soaking up both language and culture. I have a BA in Spanish, an in-progress MA in Education, and 18 years experience teaching. For the last 6 years I have been working at an elite/highly selective independent school.

All of my tutoring sessions are online via Zoom at a price of $125/hour payable via Venmo or Zelle. I prefer to work with high schoolers because that is what I know best, however, I have had a lot of fun also working with middle schoolers (6th-8th grade/11-13 years old) and adults (18+).

I look forward to meeting you!
