About E Isis

Everyone is different and everyone learns at a different pace. I specialize in one-on-one tutoring and create a custom plan to help each student excel in their needs and interests. I am enthusiastic and patient. If you’re interested in learning and practicing Spanish in a fun and interesting way, please contact me! Hasta Luego!

To me it is very rewarding to see my students excel and respond to my teaching style. It amazes me to see students communicating in Spanish after tutoring them for a while when in the beginning they had no knowledge or perhaps very little knowledge of the language. I’m a fan of education and I like to help people communicate.

I’m a native Spanish speaker from Latin America. I graduated from the English- Spanish interpretation & Translation Legal-Medical Certifícate Program at UCLA. Experience in teaching Spanish elective classes at a LA Charter middle school and in one-on-one tutoring.

About the lesson

Assessment of the level of Spanish spoken and set up of custom lesson plans to help each student reach their goals and interests.

Perfect! Isis was AMAZING! Meeting me exactly at my level, she allowed me to go deep into grammar and vocabulary while keeping things light and interesting. I was constantly amazed at her knowledge about the background of the grammar and use of certain expressions. I really loved every session we had together. She’s not only a native speaker but a expert on the “why” you use certain words — which helps so much when you’re trying to reach fluency. I felt like she taught me Spanish the way that a native speaker would learn. It was really really cool. 5 stars all around.

She's an excellent teacher. Very well organized classes/materials with fun activities so it doesn't get tedious (there was never a boring class with her!) She also explains to you until you get it and makes sure that you really know the stuff before moving on. In addition, she is a native Spanish speaker from South America so she really knows the language in and out. On top of that, she is very understanding, supportive, patient and sweet. She's just such a great person in general. I loved my Spanish classes with her and I just love her as a person too!!
