About Almaz
I am all about fun. Fun keeps one's attention and retention is easiest this way because the brain and the body will recall those happy moments and produce lasting results.
What makes me beam with joy is seeing my students understand & speak the target language. There is something so satisfying about knowing you can see the world and communicate with its citizens.
I grew up speaking Spanish. I have my BA in Spanish & Portuguese. I've traveled to Brazil with families as a translator and childcare professional. I've taught in private foreign language-focused institutions, after-school programs and summer programs covering all grade levels from pre-k up to professional adults going on business trips to various parts of the globe.

We'll start by establishing a goal or objective. I like to get an idea of the student's pronunciation, comprehension and comfort level when immersed in the target language. From there I will introduce methods that have helped me acquire and understand languages quickly.
