About Edlyn

I am your go-to Spanish tutor! I am from Texas and have been speaking this beautiful language my whole life! However, there is always something new to learn! I studied Spanish Language and Literature for 7 years as a college student and have lived in Spain and Costa Rica. I was a Spanish teacher for 6 years and have taught my students in many different ways. More than likely, I am familiar with how you are being taught or how you want to learn! I can't wait to work with you!

What I enjoy the most is meeting my students and getting to know their personalities and interests.

I have always wanted to work in education in any way possible which included being a college instructor, high school teacher and traveling abroad. I believe that learning another language can help many people get ahead in their careers.

I have a Bachelor's degree from West Texas A&M University in Spanish.

I have a Master's degree from Texas Tech University in Romance Literature specializing in Spanish.

I have taught Spanish to high school students for 6 years as well as college students for 3 years.

About the lesson

My process to work with a new student is getting to know each other first and how you learn best. It is important to establish what your goal is by working with a tutor so that we can both work on that goal together.

I have worked with college-aged students as well as high school students.

My advice to a student looking to hire a Spanish tutor should understand that it takes consistent practice and dedicated time to learning a new language. Make sure that you are comfortable with your tutor because the more sessions you can have the more results you will see. Learning a new language is not easy so dedicating time to your studies is very important.
