About Jaye

Hi, I'm Jaye and my passion in teaching and helping others stemmed back to my childhood days. I love playing school with my sisters but as we all know life takes over and sometimes our childhood dreams are mistakenly forgotten. After graduating high school, I worked as a home health aide/certified nurse's aide for 13 years and when I physically strained my back I went home to care for my children, years passed and I became dissatisfied with my whole being. In other words, I didn't like who I was, a stay at home mom who possessed inward talents but wasn't using them for any type of purpose. With that being said, I went back to school after 25 years and I received my associate's degree in university studies at University of Phoenix in 2014. Honestly, that was just a warm-up session I continued to pursue my education even further, so I attended classes in general psychology at Southern New Hampshire University I received my bachelor's of science in general psychology as well, in the 2017. Well, the stakes were high as far as higher education is concerned I wanted to know if I could beat the odds that were against me, so I pursued my education once again even further, I enrolled in what was then known as Ashford University which is now known as University of Arizona Global Campus. In 2020, I received my master's degree in general psychology with a concentration in clinical psychology, I still remain at the university and I'm in the process of working on getting my doctoral degree in sport and performance psychology. I love the college experience, as of now my GPA is 3.35. I will keep on working my goal is to make it to a GPA of 4.00. Honestly, it hasn't been easy working as a full-time security officer for Bank of America, going to school full-time as well, and I'm also preparing to take the exam that will certify me as an online substitute teacher. I'm very excited, I'm looking towards having my own practice in mental health soon because in this area it is extremely scarce when it comes to health professionals. In the meantime, I wanted to teach psychology and what better way to do that, other then to provide the best tutoring services online. I should have my certification for substitute teaching by the conclusion of April 2022.

As a security officer for Bank of America, I have had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and the best part is I have met individuals who have visited the US from other parts of the world. In providing tutoring services, I hope to meet a lot of interesting people, yes I know and believe that students are interesting people too.

I'm currently working on my doctoral degree in sport and performance psychology I prefer to be employed in my field of study as I continue in the process of finishing my education. Also, I have started a chat group online where individuals are able to come and talk about their feelings and thoughts concerning their lives when they feel as if no one is listening.

I have obtained three degrees in the past decade and I'm currently working on the fourth one.

Associates Degree in university studies.

Bachelor's of Science Degree in general psychology.

Master's Degree in general psychology with a concentration of clinical psychology.

I'm currently working on receiving my doctoral degree in sport and performance psychology.

By the conclusion of April 2022, I will be certified as an online substitute teacher.

About the lesson

Primarily, I would introduce myself to my students and then provide them with the opportunity to introduce themselves as well as to let me know what they needed help with as far as their studies are concerned and then I would either post or verbally state the expectations that are required. Moreover, I will begin the process of tutoring the student in the areas that they have specified where my help is needed.

Honestly, my grandchildren who are 9 and 10 years old I helped them with their homework for the past two years since the outbreak of the pandemic because when the crisis began my grandchildren was mostly online. Therefore, is was quite simple to help them because their assignments were presented where they could understand what to do to complete the required classwork and when they became stuck with a question or requirement for the subject or school project I could help them effectively find a solution.

Primarily, make certain that the potential teacher has the particular student's interest at heart. Time is everything when it comes to teaching online or studying online. Therefore, make certain that the teacher can allot the specified time for the student so that he/she can successfully pass the subject without feeling rushed.

I like the experience of working with my grandchildren and their school online.
