About Samantha

World Stage exists to cultivate artistic talents of our current and future students with exceptional performing arts education in a safe and nurturing environment. Students of all ages and backgrounds are provided instruction and various avenues of participation in the visual and performing arts. These activities enable each of us to discover our talents and to express ourselves creatively.

As a music director, performing artist, teaching professional and vocal instructor since 1995 who has traveled the world directing and performing, I am committed to providing a solid education and instilling music appreciation in all students. This is accomplished by integrating cooperative and creative learning in varied lesson plans and providing a well rounded learning experience for students. I have proven ability to creatively teach music of different genres, styles and cultural backgrounds. Having earned my Masters in Music, I put a strong emphasis on my education because I believe it is one of my foremost assets, combined with other factors

About the lesson

How does this work? Will my students get as much out of these lessons as they do at in-person lessons? I can reassure you that online lessons work beautifully and absolutely YES – students get every bit as much out of online lessons that they do traditional lessons…if not even more! First, its very convenient. We’re all extreamly busy these days. Always on the go, and somewhat overscheduled! With virtual voice lessons, my students are able to sing with me anywhere there is a good Internet connection, including hotel rooms when they are traveling. Even if my student is more local, sometimes they just don’t feel like dealing with traffic, parking, weather, or even leaving their comfortable pajamas.

Online voice lessons have allowed me to teach students from all over the world. With the improvements that have been made in the quality of Zoom and FaceTime and other platforms, it really does feel like you are in the same room together. I am able to detect tension, strain, breathiness, etc. every bit as effectively as I am with students taking in-person singing lessons. If a student is using an especially high-quality microphone, I can detect even more issues that need to be addressed.

Veronica

I enjoy very much working with Sam, I tried out a few instructors and it was clear that she was the best one. She is knowledgeable, technical, and thorough in her explanations and patient in her instruction.
Sam is always willing to answer my questions and is warm and personable, her feedback is always constructive and informative and she draws from her personal experiences as well as her years of study.
I have had 3 classes with her so far and I already hear a change in my singing despite having no prior experience. I look forward to seeing where I am a few months from now!
