About Jane

My students credits include principal roles on Broadway and National Touring companies, the Metropolitan Opera Comapny, New York City Opera and Cabaret artists. I have 35 years of experience as a New York City singing teacher and 25 years as an Opera and Musical Theater Performer. Please check out my website for additional information and many testimonials from my students.

(concealed information)

I love helping people explore the full potential of their vocal instrument and finding the pathway for the expression of the emotions that give birth to the desire to sing! I am also a well known Empath and use that skill to feel inbalances and technical problems in the student. I am able to guide the singer in a precise way to the corrections needed with this additional ability. (concealed information)

As a performer in Opera and Musical Theater, I was approached by many colleagues for vocal advice and so I began teaching formally between my opera and theater engagements.

About the lesson

I ask that the student sing something for me that they feel comfortable presenting. I positively evaluate what I hear that is good about their singing. With kindness, I articulate what I hear that invites improvement. Then proceed to explain how to accomplish those improvements through an explanation of the physiology involved and an exercise designed to focus on the issue.

You should expect to experience a rapport with the teacher from the first encounter. If they are right for you, they will guide you easily to suggestions that will immediately improve your singing.
