About Shauna
With me, you'll be learning to sing, perform, and write songs, and/or play guitar from a professional musician! I've been performing at festivals, concert halls, weddings, and more for over 15 years and I believe that making music is one of the most fun and rewarding things to do on the whole planet. I want to help you enjoy it too! We will take things at your own pace, with your own goals in mind. Whether you want to join a choir, start a band, play at open mic nights, or just sound better when you're singing in the shower, I can help make that happen.
Singing, playing music, and writing songs are great ways to express yourself. They're also great for your physical and mental health! Working with other singers and musicians is very rewarding because it's another way to spread the joy and the magic of music-making.
I've been trained by top-of-the-line choral teachers throughout my life. And I've worked with incredible songwriters, producers, and booking agents, etc. So I know how to help you hone the skills needed for your specific goals. I've also performed over 2500 concerts myself, so I'm very familiar and can coach you on the emotional aspects of singing as well - the confidence, the attitude, and the ability to get in touch with your creative voice.

All lessons will be online, via the service of your choice (Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, WhatsApp, etc). On the first lesson, we will talk about what your goals are and any past experience you have. From there I will tailor each lesson to help you build new skills. I will NOT have you just sing scales for a half an hour or anything like that. I want our time together to be fun. And I will give you things that you can work on on your own after the lesson, if you want to, so that you can keep practicing your skills in between. I expect that after 4 or 5 classes you'll see a vast improvement in your abilities!
