About Marie
I hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education, with my Bachelor’s degree focused in Music Education and majors in Voice, Piano, and Flute. Music has been both a lifelong passion and a lifelong career for me. I owned and operated my own music studio for many years, teaching private lessons in voice, piano, and flute, and I also served as a public school Music Specialist for 20 years.
Students who work with me can expect a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment. I believe every student learns differently, so I take time to build strong relationships and tailor lessons to each student’s individual abilities, goals, and interests. Whether a student is brand new to music or looking to strengthen existing skills, I strive to help them grow in confidence while building a solid musical foundation.
My teaching approach emphasizes standard music procedures, strong fundamentals, creativity, and steady progress. With many years of experience teaching students of different ages and skill levels, I am committed to helping each student succeed and enjoy the learning process along the way.
