About
I am a pro vocal coach who offers a dynamic learning experience that builds artistic skills and confidence! I have been teaching for over 20 years. I was a Vocal Performance Major in college at the University of CO Boulder, School of Music and the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers. I have taught hundreds of students from ages 5 to 80 years old, of all styles and backgrounds. Some have been with me steadily for years of weekly lessons.
As a pro singer, I have recorded multiple records, toured internationally and currently, I am singing regularly at multiple venues as a Jazz Singer. I also sing in a Folk/Rock trio and perform as a singer/songwriter.
I have a plethora of teaching and performing experience and I absolutely love working with students to help them discover their musical and creative aspirations!
I welcome all levels and styles of music. Here are some things we focus on in our lessons:
Diaphragm Breathing Technique, Vocal Breath Support, Style & Repertoire, Ear Training, Pitch, Confidence, Vocal Range, Confidence, Microphone Technique, Performance preparation, etc.
We also will learn about basic music theory and sight singing. We will create your musical repertoire and expand it to honor your most comfortable keys and hone your deliverance.
I also teach beginner to intermediate guitar.
