About Cat
I am mainly occupied with altering Bridal gowns and formal attire. I have been sewing since the 70's. Studied pattern making, couture, sewing, alterations at Idaho State University. I have been sewing, designing and altering for over 40 years. Young at heart. It's time to start sharing what I know, what I have learned.
I have been self employed as an alterationist for most of the past 30 years. Being an entertainer and terribly shy at heart, I have also worked most of my adult life as a standup comic passing as a food server.
I start beginners out by having them read their sewing machine manual. Learning the parts, and doing exercises as described in the manual. Its good to learn what the parts are called, what to do with them, and what not to do.
Then we can pick a specific project, or just cover basic skills that can apply to making a variety of projects. That's all for now.
Studied at Idaho State University.
