About Ashlee
I have been a teacher for over a decade, I know the ins and outs of learning to read and can make that come alive for students who have struggled until this point to crack the code as readers.
I hold undergraduate degrees in elementary education and English. I also hold graduate degrees in Reading and Language as well as a 6th Year degree in Reading.
I hold CT teaching certificates in elementary education (K-6), English Language Arts (7-12), Reading Certification (K-12) and Reading Consultant (K-12)
I currently work with students ages 4-11, in grades K-5.
After teaching second grade for nearly 10 years I switched into the role of a reading teacher. Helping students who struggle with the process of reading has been more rewarding than any other role I've held in education.
The joy I get to experience when a student begins to put all the pieces of reading is a reward like no other.
