About Brittany
I value the importance of teaching each individual student in the way they learn best. I have 6 years of teaching experience and I have worked with a wide range of learners in kindergarten through 5th grade. I am experienced in creating individual lessons for students to meet their learning needs. My goal is to help each individual student learn, grow, and achieve!
I graduated in 2016 with a degree in Special Education and an English as a Second Language endorsement. I have been teaching for 6 years in a public school setting. For two years, I taught students in general education and special education. I currently teach special education, but I also provide support to general education students.

My typical process when working with a new student is getting to know them and building a positive relationship. I like to get to know a student's interests and learning preferences. I also gather information about the student's current academic strengths and areas for growth. Once I gather this information, I am able to develop individualized instruction to support their learning.
I have worked with a wide age group, ranging from kindergarten through 5th grade over the past 6 years. I primarily work with students who receive special education, but I also teach students who need extra support in reading, writing, and/or math.
