About Layla
I have a PhD in English and a BA in English and Religious Studies.
My teaching experience includes 6+ years in higher ed (English / Writing), 2 years teaching high school English in my current position, and tutoring experience in many different fields, including history, social studies, writing, and test prep.
I love teaching - it’s why I switched to full-time teaching! - and look forward to working with you.
I like working with people; I am pretty goal-oriented and I really like problem-solving. Since people learn in lots of different ways, I really enjoy the challenge of trying to figure out what might best help a particular learner and their needs.
