About Karla

My services stand out because I treat each of my students as individuals with individual needs. Lessons are tailored to my student's goals, skill level, and desired purpose for the lesson.

I am passionate about watching my students grow their skillsets and complete their goals.

I have always had a passion for sharing my knowledge with others and through my business I found that many people were looking not just for help with their projects but learning skills.

I have a bachelors in Journalism from Boston University and have been working in writing/editing for close to fifteen years. I currently own Dirt Sugar Media which is a content creation small business where a large portion of my work is focused on writing, editing, and copy. As well, I teach at the New London Adult Education Center.

About the lesson

I first typically consult with a new student so that I can fully understand their needs and skillset. We then come up with a plan that the student is comfortable with that will allow them to achieve their goals.

I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds.

Ask a lot of questions! It's the only way to learn and to find out if you and your teacher are a good fit.

Recently my winter class at NLDE ended and I was vary pleased to see how far my students have come with their skills and about how excited they were to continue with their projects and work with their newly acquired knowledge.
