About Brendan

I study computer science at Northwestern University and am familiar with both the AP curriculum as well as general programming practices.

I've also worked at several startups and have TA'd an intro class at Northwestern.

I am able to relate to students of any level and am happy to work as quickly or as slowly as you like.

Mostly just through tutoring friends and friends of friends.

I have studied computer science for close to 5 years and have tutored numerous students at Northwestern University. Likewise, I have worked at several companies as a programmer and have TA'd an intro course here at the university.

About the lesson

I always begin by gauging the level of a student through a few introductory questions. These depend on my intuition of the student's ability but some examples are "What is a variable?" "How do for-loops work?," etc.

I am usually able to quickly understand where a student is at and then can begin either working through fundamentals, or certain specific problems a student may have.

University students mainly although I believe I am more than capable of helping out high school students and below.

Look for a tutor who not only knows the material, but is able to relate to the student on a personal level (me :) )
