About Justas
I hope to give my students the best possible advice on IB subjects, UK and French university admissions and in general prepare them for tests and presentations.
I hold an IB Bilingual Diploma. I received a grade of 41/45 in the final exam. I graduated in 2018, thus, I know and understand what pressures students are under.
Currently, I am studying in the Columbia University - SciencesPo dual bachelor programs. In SciencesPo I am majoring in political humanities.
Before choosing to attend the dual BA program I was accepted to UCL, King's College London and Warwick. The former two being part of the "Golden Circle" of education in England.
In Lithuania where I am from I won the 24th National Debating Championship and also attained 3rd place in the National Philosophy Olympiad.
I got interested in teaching due to my own experiences in my own highschool where I lacked teachers that could cater to my high needs to advance rapidly, particularly history. Thus, I am very motivated to give the most to my students.

I enjoy seeing my students suceed by attaining the best academic and extracurricular results. Alongside, achieving intellectual and personal independence.
I started in highschool when I began tutoring younger pupils in debating and public speaking skills.
I recently went to through college admissions procedures myself, thus, I am able to understand what the student is going through and emphatise. As well as, provide the best possible tips on their essays and letters. In high school I tutored debating students thus I have experience working with students and teaching.

About the lesson

First of all, I try to grasp what the student struggles with in particular or what they want to achieve. Once that is out of the way I can begin to analyse how to best allow them to learn and present my material. Afterwards, the teaching process relies on consistent interactions (students can email me or message me on Facebook at any time of day) and trying to best guide the student towards self-sufficiency.
I have worked primarily with high school students and minimally with university students.
Personality is really important. It is crucial for you to trust each other and build a bond between the artificial teacher-student barrier.
When I visited my old primary school teacher I gave the stundents there a little presentation about what it means to be in university. I realised I was losing them when they did not know what a whale was. Thus, my presentation on living in France was cut short by trying to decide how many classrooms a whale would fill.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask about what worries you during the night. What is the thing that gives you anxiety in the morning. If it is on your mind at those vulnerable and early moments it must mean they are important.
But focus mostly on how to attain knowledge and skills, not on skills and knowledges in themselves. Once you have the tools the sky is the limit. Thus, methodology and developing a work ethic is of crucial importance.
