About Sarah

I stand out because I graduated from one of the top Bachelor's level Psychology programs in Maryland. I am also willing to get a background check and abide by physical/social distancing preferences as needed and only taking clients and families who are well for in-person sessions, so I will request temperature checks and do them on myself too. I am also willing to take on clients online who might be out of state.

I love seeing students succeed and overcome obstacles. I love seeing their hard work pay off.

I did fieldwork for many different elementary/middle schools.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and am working on my Masters in Higher Education Administration. I also have experience tutoring elementary and middle school students in all subject areas. I am willing to brush up on my weaker areas (math and science)as needed. I can also help with reading/writing on the SAT/ACT and all aspects of the college application process.

About the lesson

My process starts with getting to know the student and family where applicable and develop a lesson plan accordingly, which I learned how to do through student teaching when I thought I wanted to major in elementary education. However, I am now pursuing a master's in higher education administration.

I have worked with a diverse population of people in many settings but have mostly worked in educational settings with direct contact with children ranging in age from 4-13 years of age. I have also worked with children and adults with learning and intellectual disabilities.

Whatever you study can become useful in any industry, especially the critical thinking skills gained from pursuing college.

I am fond of starting my masters and feeling accomplished as I approach the halfway point in my program after this summer.

Details

Based on my education and expertise and the time I will put in outside of tutoring sessions I will aim to charge $15-$20 an hour and am flexible in providing 1-3 hour sessions, with breaks as needed.
