About Jean
My goal is to work with each individual student according to their specific goals and interests. Students have input on the music they play, no matter their style preference. If they have a specific piece of music they want to work on, we will find it or if an appropriate arrangement at their level cannot be found, we will write one. I also teach some improv and lead sheet playing and encourage composition.
I love seeing the creativity come out in the students. It manifests itself in different ways: some students enjoy improvising, some enjoy composing and others prefer to stick to the written page. All are individual and I enjoy working with each and every one of them to help them become the best they can be.
