About Anson
Welcome! My name is Anson Clark and I have studied piano for over a decade now, as well as a background in music theory. I am currently a student at American University studying Neuroscience and Child Psychology, but I have a passion for piano and music.
I believe piano is the most versatile instrument and the best introductory instrument to learn. The skills learned from piano not only extend to other music, but also improve brain speed and memory, sharpen concentration skills, and help reduce anxiety.
I teach piano through a sight-reading and knowledge based approach. My aim is that children are able to recognize notes and learn scales. This approach gives the child the ability to independently read sheet music, which is also applicable to other forms of music.
Currently, I specialize in entry-level piano students and I am able to accommodate in-house lessons.
