About Emily
Hi! Music has been a source of joy as well as an outlet for me for all of my life. If you are thinking of beginning your own musical journey, I would love to be a part of it! I believe each student's learning process and needs are different - because that has been my own experience as a student. I provide a free consultation to start off with in order to see if I am the right person to help you explore your specific interests and needs.
Musical Background -
Emily has studied piano for 20 years with Kathleen Panek, Marcantonio Barone, and Erika Switzer. At Bard College she focused on developing her collaborative piano skills and accompanied singers for opera rehearsals, lessons, and art song concerts. Emily has studied classical voice for 8 years with Kathryna Barone and Ilka LoMonaco. At Bard she performed in the annual Opera Workshop and in semester-end art song concerts. She also prepared and performed two concerts of self-selected repertoire involving collaborative piano, solo piano, and voice. Emily also has experience playing violin and French horn from middle school and high school ensembles.
