About Karin
Thank you for your interest in hiring me as your piano teacher. The piano is a wonderful instrument to introduce you to the world of music. I started taking lessons when I was six years old. Seven years later, I began teaching my neighbors children at her request. Thirty years later, I am still teaching piano. Mostly, I have taught private lessons. Some of my students have gone on to be church pianists and piano teachers (much like me). Others have become jazz pianists and composers. Some play just for the pure enjoyment and relaxation that the instrument brings. A few have entered music competitions where, proudly I write, they have placed remarkably well. Some of my students have been seen performing on Main Street at Disneyland and some others on cruise ships. Still, some consider the piano a stepping-stone to other musical instruments. For whatever reason you want to play the piano, this promises to be a rewarding and positive experience.
