About Nancy
I helped out a few professors with teaching group piano classes when I was in college in Texas. When we moved back to Michigan, I taught piano in the Preparatory Division at Oakland University. Eventually I started my own business.
I have a Piano Pedagogy (fancy word for teaching) degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. I also have a business degree from Wayne State University.

I like to meet with the student and parent before starting lessons (free of charge, of course) to see if we are a good fit.
I mostly work with beginners or transfer students. I have worked with the youngest being 5 and the most mature in their 70's.
Try to hire someone specifically with piano credentials, not just music credentials (for example, find out what their major was in college - was it piano, voice, etc.). Find someone passionate about the piano who just wants to share that experience.
There are too many to tell! Each week brings unexpected joy from my students!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
We discover these things together when we meet for the first time.
