About Rita

My students consistently receive superior and excellent plus grades for their festivals and National Guild Auditions. Some students have played for church and school programs and have won awards. Students have majored in music at Juilliard, Wheaton and other universities.

Seeing students smile when they learn something difficult is most rewarding. Hearing the students play with artistry and emotion is wonderful.

About the lesson

We begin by learning the names of the keys and the lines and spaces on the staff. We play simple pieces to facilitate note reading. As the student progresses we learn more about rhythms.
