About Christine
I have been giving music lessons for 30+ years, ever since earning a Master of Music from Yale University. I worked as a freelance musician in New York City for many years, and later taught music in public schools in Arizona. My goal is for my students to develop a love of music by playing the music they enjoy while also learning correct technique. Lessons are for students in grades 3-12 and for adults. Beginning through intermediate levels. Lessons are online for safety and convenience.
There is no greater feeling of satisfaction for me than seeing the joy of playing music on the faces of my students. This is what it is all about!
Started immediately after earning my Master of Music degree. Taught private lessons and at music camps.
Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees. Worked as a professional musician in New York City for many years. Have been giving private music lessons for over 30 years. Have taught music in public schools and music camps for children and adults. Have been the director of many choirs for children to adults. All of this training and experience has helped me become a quality educator.

I like to get to know my students' likes and dislikes and what music they like the most. Although lesson books are important in learning technique, etc., they usually don't have pieces in them that anyone knows. So I like to supplement with songs the student likes and wants to learn to play. The whole point is to enjoy playing music! This is what will last a lifetime.
Students K-12 and adults.

A member of the Santa Clarita Master Chorale where I was the alto section leader. It was an incredibly fun experience.

Bern is an excellent piano teacher. She is very professional, patient and kind. She challenges, encourages & motivates my daughter to try her best with no pressure & improve her skills. I highly recommend Bern!
I took lessons from Christine in California. She was very professional and patient. She gave me the confidence to perform at the Christmas recital which was something I thought I would never do especially since I was performing with children. I was the oldest one there. What made it memorable was the kids were so supportive as was Christine. I wish her the best.
