About David
With a degree and teaching experience in Japanese language and culture, I can teach Japanese at any level.
I also have a number of years of piano experience. Church piano, classical, chording, music theory, and improvization are my specialties.
I began tutoring piano and Japanese in high school and college.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Studies (Japanese Language and Culture) from the University of Florida with experience in Japanese language and culture for more than 10 years.
I also have 8 years of piano experience with a few years of playing in church.

First meeting is an assessment: see where the student's abilities lie. We also discuss a curriculum that works best for the students. A textbook––if needed––is recommended and it is up to the student to get the necessary materials.
All sessions afterward are reserved for training and practice. Depending on the pace the student selects and their seriousness, homework may be assigned. Homework answers are always discussed afterward.
Various type of students from all backgrounds and cultures.
Find someone willing to recommend learning materials even if they know you will not learn under them. Any teacher willing to help a student out in such a way knowing they won't get their business is one that truly cares about their discipline.

Details
Pricing depends on the lessons the student desires. Japanese language lessons are typically $25 a half an hour (excluding transportation costs).
Piano lessons are $15 every half hour (excluding transportation costs).
Transportation costs will depend on the distance travelled.
