About Avery
I have been playing the piano for nearly 20 years and have over 10 years of teaching experience. Upon high school graduation, I was offered university scholarships to pursue piano pedagogy. Although I decided to pursue a different route with my degree, I have continued to receive training in piano technique and instruction. Throughout my 10+ years of teaching experience, I have worked as both a private and contracted piano teacher.
I accept students of all skill levels, ranging from beginning to advanced. I firmly believe that piano lessons should be an enjoyable experience for my students, and work hard to cater to their strengths and needs. I do my absolute best to ensure that my students are learning songs/skills that excite them and actively involve them in deciding what to focus on during our lesson time. I have found through my years of practice and teaching, that hard work and diligent practicing pay off. I expect my students to put in the time and effort it takes to build their piano skills, and in return I guarantee they will feel a sense of satisfaction with the progress they are making. My goal is for each student to feel confidence in their piano abilities, excitement about the progress they’ve made, and a passion for a lifetime of learning.
