About Brian
over 20 years of experience, teach any musical styles, all levels from beginners to advance, professional musician who plays in bands, am a music teacher working in the public schools as well.

If he/she is a beginner, I start with correct posture, recognition of black keys and white keys,letter names, basic note reading and ear training, and most importantly teaching he/she a song. If not a beginner, I will have the student play a song and will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses based on the performance. Most importantly I will find out what style of music my students listen to or what they are interested in playing.

He was my first piano teacher when I was a little kid. He introduced me to music and from there, I went on to make it my passion and my profession. I owe a lot to him.
Mr. Smith was my music teacher at Riviera Middle School where I attended his music production and rock band classes. I always had an interest in music, but didn't fully discover its possibilities until attending his class. He made the more tedious but essential topics fun and easy to learn, and always provided an environment where students could be themselves and expand their knowledge to its full potential. One of the best teachers out there.
