About Beth
I teach "to the student," which means I develop a personalized lesson plan for each student. All of my students learn the fundamentals of music and technique, are exposed to music they perhaps wouldn't be on their own. They learn to play, at their level, classical, contemporary, music they like, and everybody learns how to write their own original music. I have many long-term students, and we have a really great time!
I'm a life-long musician, I play about 8 instruments, which is my way of saying I love music and I'm passionate about teaching. Being able to play an instrument means -- to me -- that I always have a friend along with me. Every time I sit down to play, I'm talking to my friend -- when I'm sad, happy, bored, excited. I wish this for all of my students.
