About Thomas
I am a student at NWU studying piano performance and music. theory. I am hoping to share my love of music with students! I give three types of lessons, mentioned below.
Piano Lessons:
I start elementary beginner students with the Faber series, but start adult learners and more experienced players with a mixed approach to theory, technique, and performance.
Composition Lessons:
Composition lessons are almost entirely student-oriented! These lessons will include discussions on theory, but are focused on using aspects of music theory to compose music. We will start with the very basics, including penmanship, counterpoint, interval identification and more! Soon, you'll be writing music faster than you can sing or play it!
Theory Lessons and Tutoring:
Theory lessons are dependent on the experience of the student. I offer accelerrated courses on all the basics of music theory, and will touch on more advanced topics as well.(intended for late-elementary to high-school ages).
I love watching students bloom when they find music they love. Many students stop playing piano after they find their lessons boring. I do my best to make sure each student can learn the music they love.
