About Marilyn
Marilyn has been playing the piano for 12 years, ever since she was 4. She has passed level 12 music theory, the highest level, and is a first chair pianist in Wind Ensemble at Libertyville High School. She is an ILMEA first chair pianist in state orchestra as well. Her teaching skills come from years of experience tutoring, including an internship in China this summer teaching Chinese students English. She works and adapts well with students of any age!
I love when students are able to grasp onto a concept and it finally clicks for them. That is one part of teaching I will never take for granted.
I have always loved sharing knowledge with others, and music is a passion of mine.
