About Hrant

Winner of international prizes at competitions, holding Master in Music degree from prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music. I have a wonderful Yamaha grand piano in my apartment where I teach.

I started teaching back in my home country Armenia where I would frequently teach my younger studiomates by the request of my piano professor.

I have received professional lessons in classical piano from world renown concert pianists and pedagogues and am happy to share my knowledge with others.

About the lesson

If the student is a beginner, teaching fundamentals of classical piano playing i.e. hand posture, sound of the piano, basics of learning and practicing piano pieces. I mostly concentrate on classical piano repertoire but I don't mind some of my students learning popular tunes on piano from time to time.

Beginners, adult students who liked to learn piano for fun, professional musicians and piano students from music colleges etc.

Look for teachers with experience and make sure you are on the same page with them at the first lessons regarding the match of musical personalities.

I often play both solo concerts and appear as a soloist with orchestras. Recent memorable concert was me performing as the soloist with Heights Chamber Orchestra in Cleveland past October.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are the best ways of practicing and how often/how long? What is the best repertoire to learn in order to improve the piano skills and to advance?
