About George
Welcome to my page! I am an itinerant performer playing piano, and singing opera. I have been doing so since I was 11 years old. I have performed with national acts such as Dion DiMucci and The Manhattan Transfer, as well as a long list of Internationally recognized acts. I am a NJ State Certified Music Teacher K-12 and have over 25 years experience teaching in New Jersey classrooms. I teach in homes throughout central Jersey, however, my online lessons are so effective that students are switching gladly, and loving the results. Students are set up with a boom stand and a cell phone clip. Your cell phone is suspended over your piano keys so I can see your hands. You also sign in on either an iPad or your computer to view my teaching. The entire lesson is recorded and sent to you for downloading, both for your records and for reference to assist your practice during the week.
My students have been the recipients of the NJ Governor's Award in Arts Education for Music, The National VSA Arts Award, Count Basie Award Nominations, Top of The Top in Monmouth County Teen Arts and went on to State Level Adjudications, and were finalists in the NJ Shouts Down Drugs songwriting competitions.
I teach with both the traditional sight-reading classical approaches, and tools students can use for improvisation.
