About Timothy
I have enjoyed music all my life, so I am very happy to share the joy of music making with everyone.
I enjoy helping others to learn to do what I can do. the joy and satifactions that comes from helping others make music is unlike any other joy.
My dad was a music teacher. Once I became proficient enough on drums, I began giving lessons to younger students even when I was in high school

Depending on the instrument, I first find out what the goals of the student might be. then I explain to the student what I do to meet those goals. then we work on basic, foundational techniques to make that happen.
All kinds!
Look for a teacher who will challenge you, but also encourage you.
I home school all my children. recently, my 16 year old son was very proud of the fact that he made up his own physics experiment. I encouraged him to do experiments and not just do problems out of the books, because it is in doing the experiments that we come to love the science of physics. It's the same in music making.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Can I figure this out by myself?
