About
My name is Olga. I started my music journey when I was 5 years old and never stopped since then .
I have 31 year of teaching experience, 16 years of Russian musical education and graduated from Saint-Petersburg conservatoire, Russia, where my major was chorus director, piano and singing.
Recently moved to Gate City Virginia from South-West Florida, where I worked successfully for two music studios and had private students on my own for 12 years.
All ages and any levels are welcome. I have taught from 5 to 75 and am very considerate to what a student's goal is!
I have a classical academic education, but enjoyed teaching and playing-singing various styles and genres of music with lots of my students.
During the lesson I try to cover many aspects of musical education: performance skills, theory, some music history, ear training, sight reading -- as much as possible for the time of a session and as far as a student wants to go.
Typically a lesson could be a half hour for young students or an hour for older or more experienced students.
