About Youn
I teach piano because I enjoy sharing my love of music with students.
About me: Via competitions, recitals, and concerts, I have performed solo, in chamber groups, and with an orchestra. I have also accompanied choirs and served as a church pianist. After graduating with a music degree, I have taught for more than 10 years. I teach primarily classical piano, but I also offer a sprinkling of pop and jazz pieces. My students have succeeded in music festivals at the local and state levels.
Philosophy: My teaching style is gentle and patient. I teach the fundamentals so that students can have a strong foundation for the lifelong enjoyment of music. I have great relationships with my students. (My students usually stay with me a long time unless they are moving away from the area.)
I love helping to awaken musical interests and to cultivate a passion for music. Many of my students become lifelong participants of the arts and are incredibly excited to share their talents with everyone around them.
