About April

I recieved my Bachelors of Arts in Music Education in 2017, as well as a NCTeaching License. I was able to complete a Masters in Music History in 2022. I taught elementary music in the public schools for three years, as well as in my community for 4 years. I have additionally studied piano from the time I was 7 through college, with a few pauses in my studies. I am very adaptable to many learning styles and personalities, as well as willing to try new techniques and methods to best suit any student.

I love working with students and seeing them develop their skills over the course of their musical journey. Seeing a student understand something for the first time after trying many times is one of my favorite things to see as a teacher.

I have always loved learning and by taking piano lessons, I learned to love it even more.

I taught elementary music in NC Public Schools for three years. I have also taught private voice and piano lessons at community music schools for 4.5 years.

Mostly beginner and intermediate students, as well as older beginners. I have worked with ages 4-40.
