I have been teaching for 13 years.

There arose a need for gospel piano and organ instruction in Tyler, Texas

I'm currently pursuing a music education degree at UTA. I began teaching piano / organ lessons in Tyler, Texas at Tyler Piano & Organ Studios in 2004. I have had 11 years of formal piano training from 1987-1998, including classical, jazz and gospel.

About the lesson

Taking time to do an assessment of the student, in order to find out the musical background and goals

I've worked with children, church musicians, older students, etc.

Look for a teacher who has patience, one who has background or expertise in the specific area of interest and one who keeps the lessons interesting.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How interested are they in lessons? Does the student have time to practice? What is the goal of the student in regards to taking lesson?

The overall experience of L. Isaiah Jones as a piano teacher is amazing. I previously was his student but my 8 year son is currently his student. He is patient and does a great job keeping my son engaged. I appreciate his keen balance of fun and knowing when to be stern. He guides with a gentle hand. He knows how to get the best out of his students. His musical knowledge base is expansive. He has studied his craft. My son can ask him ANYTHING during a lesson and he seems to know the answer. That's amazing! Whether you're an adult or a child, anyone considering piano lessons should definitely go with L. Isaiah Jones!

I am so enjoying my organ lessons! I am over 50 and I have learned so much in such a short time. I am playing congregational songs, preacher chords and praise songs most of all he takes his time, he's patient with you, and the way he teaches anybody can learn how to play the organ. I Love It!
