About Janice
I hold a masters degree in Piano Teaching and performance and have taught piano professionally for over 35 years. I have been an active member in Music Teachers National Association and have performed in various venues. My goal is to have my students develop an understanding of piano performance and music theory to enable them to play for their own enjoyment.

I believe in a thorough understanding of musical notation and theory in addition to playing the piano. This will help the student to ultimately learn on their own without relying on shortcuts provided by the teacher. I also encourage very specific practice techiniques with each student in order for them to acheive the best results
