I’ve been a performer, educator, and writer for over 40 years. I’ve worked with everyone from Sting to the very beginners ,at every age. I went to the Peabody Conservatory, Manhattan school of Music, and the Juilliard School.

My first goal is to make an assessment. That includes getting a complete musical background from childhood to the present, so I ask lots of questions! :-)
After that I get an idea of what level the student is coming with. That can be a simple song, or a piano piece, or maybe just a simple exercise. My mind works like a computer, getting a picture of where to begin. There begins the conversation...
